Fire Damaged Property in Whimple

A fire damaged property in Whimple one of our engineers was involved in its reinstatement.

 

Surveying/Initial Assessment

Swift response to inspect the fire-damaged property. Produce a report on the condition and recommend making safe and reinstatement works.

Cob wall that is fire damaged. The plaster has debonded, exposing the wall structure.

 

Collaboration

Advising Loss Adjusters and Policyholders on feasible conservation works with regard to a Grade II listed building.

Consult with the Client to determine the cost-effectiveness of BFRP reinforced rigid pavement specification. Innovate solutions and plan logistics to remove the need for lapping in reinforcement to reduce the use of materials and increase the speed of construction.

Design Approach

Design-assisted by testing approach to facilitate maximum utilisation of reinforcement and reduce the use of materials. More than 20% reduction of costs associated with concrete quantities had been achieved.

Specification of BFRP reinforcement that allows for significant savings on Carbon emissions and makes significant contributions to meet Net Zero Carbon Targets.
