Casting of a FRP reinforced concrete slab. A project we have designed to UK current standards.

Basalt FRP Reinforced Concrete

We are proud to have developed a design approach for specifying FRP reinforced concrete in permanent works that are in compliance with UK design standards through 'design assisted by testing'. Our team works in close collaboration with manufacturers/suppliers to provide our services. Specification of BFRP rebar can yield significant reductions in concrete quantities, labour/material/maintenance costs and embodied carbon at project completion and at the end of the life of the asset. We forecast BFRP reinforcement to be a crucial construction product to meet the UK's Net Zero Carbon targets.
